Navan has been selected by Investec to modernise the bank's global travel programme, adding a banking client to Navan's travel and expense business.
Investec is introducing Navan's platform as part of a broader digital transformation effort across the group. It aims to consolidate travel operations, reduce administrative work and improve the booking experience for employees across its international business.
As a dual-listed company in the United Kingdom and South Africa, Investec manages travel across multiple markets. The new arrangement is designed to bring those processes together in a single system, improve policy compliance and give finance teams more immediate visibility into spending.
The platform includes travel booking and expense management tools. According to Navan, its inventory includes more than 600 airlines, over 2 million lodging properties, and rail and rental car providers. Investec expects that range to encourage greater employee use of the system.
The rollout also includes automated reconciliation, which is intended to reduce manual work for finance teams and strengthen oversight of travel-related costs.
Investec linked the move to its internal technology agenda. "As Investec continues its digital transformation, we're excited to partner with an AI-first travel platform to increase adoption and improve operational efficiency," said Lyndon Subroyen, Investec Group Chief Technology and Operating Officer.
The deal also highlights Navan's push into financial services, where it says it now serves nearly 1,500 institutions globally. That was a 36% year-on-year increase in its 2026 financial year, according to the company.
Travel demand in the sector has also been rising.
