HeadFirst Global is rebranding as Vertage and bringing 11 portfolio companies into a single business. The move puts Impellam and the rest of the group under one name and operating model.
The new entity launches with 1.5 million specialists, more than €10 billion in gross invoice value and operations in 80 countries, following the integration of HeadFirst Group and Impellam Group and a subsequent expansion into India.
Vertage will replace a group structure that until now included Comensura, Carbon60, Lorien, Guidant Global, Bartech, SRG, HeadFirst, Sterksen, Star Apple, Striive and Prounity. Those brands will be retired in the first quarter of 2027. Existing contracts, delivery teams and day-to-day customer contacts will remain in place during the transition.
The reorganisation centres on a single technology platform designed to bring together specialist talent, AI agents and data for enterprise and government clients in North America, the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Clients will be able to define a work outcome rather than specify headcount or rate cards. The platform will then match the work with specialists or AI agents, while governance, visibility and compliance sit within one system.
That approach reflects broader shifts in the staffing and workforce market, where employers are placing greater emphasis on skills and project delivery rather than fixed roles. Vertage is seeking to position itself around outcome-based work as organisations manage cross-border labour needs, ageing workforces and pressure for faster hiring and deployment.
The workforce solutions industry is worth an estimated USD $650 billion a year, according to Vertage.
