The running shoe brand is updating its ProGrid Triumph 4 for mom's in a new collaboration.
Saucony is celebrating mothers and all those “who care for, protect, create, and show up for others,” in its latest collaboration.
On Wednesday, the Wolverine Worldwide-owned running brand revealed its partnership with Hike Clerb founder Evelynn Escobar on an updated version of its popular ProGrid Triumph 4 silhouette.
Dubbed the “Evelynn World x Saucony ProGrid Triumph 4,” the sneaker features a double mesh upper, metallic silver overlays, a patent leather heel accent, reflective accents on tongue label and heel loop, co-branded tongue labels, a redesigned heel panel with Evelynn World “E” logo, two round two-tone starburst woven lace options, an asymmetrical custom sockliner and a custom all-over graphic drawer box.
For Escobar, the collaboration was partly inspired by sneaker culture’s long-standing fascination with the “dad shoe.” So, Escobar began with a simple question: if the dad shoe could become an icon, what might a mom shoe represent? Her answer extends far beyond motherhood itself.
“For me, mothering is a way of being, not something limited to giving birth,” Escobar said in a statement. “It’s nurturing something, protecting it, helping it grow, and making people feel cared for and seen. We celebrate so many forms of achievement, but the everyday work of care is often invisible and undervalued. I wanted to make something that honors that.”
The result is a shoe for everyone who nurtures, Saucony noted. “Whether an office mom, dog mom, plant mom, stay-at-home mom, mentor, artist, organizer, or friend,” the brand stated.
