SIMPATICO: M.M.LaFleur has secured a $7 million line of credit from JPalmer Collective that will help drive the brand’s creative development and expand its reach as it seeks to empower professional women.
“We wanted a female lender who understood the challenges female founders face and one that we could have a long-term relationship with — we found that in JPC,” said Sarah LaFleur, founder and chief executive officer of M.M.LaFleur. “With their funding and support, we will continue our mission to help women succeed by making dressing well effortless and intentional, supporting the diverse, dynamic lives of working women everywhere.”
Jennifer Palmer, founder and chief executive officer of the asset-based lender, added: “I’ve been a longtime admirer of…Sarah LaFleur, and have always believed in her mission. Sarah needed the right partner to support her vision of creating a better future for women — and that’s something we believe in deeply at JPC. We’re thrilled to partner with M.M.LaFleur, as our values and vision for the future of women and leadership are so closely aligned.”
Palmer started JPC in 2023 with an eye toward funding “high-growth companies that do not fit traditional lenders’ criteria.” The firm prides itself on its “white-glove service with a consultative approach to women-led companies, high-growth consumer brands and companies focused on conscious consumers, sustainability and inclusivity.”
