First Look at The Attico’s 10th Anniversary Collection

To mark the brand’s first decade, founders Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini are also setting up a temporary store in Milan.

MILAN — The Attico is continuing the celebration of its 10th anniversary with Superattico10, a special capsule collection the brand’s founders Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini are launching on Tuesday.

As teased in an interview with WWD last month, the project is the second episode of a see now, buy now range the duo presented in September 2021 and that included 14 one-of-a-kind pieces rich in feathers and marabou, metallic sequins, fringes, crystal embellishments and intricate embroideries.

For this installment, the founders took a similar approach, looking back to their brand’s most distinctive shapes and then tweaking them into new expressions.

“With Superattico10, we wanted to revisit the spirit that has defined The Attico since the beginning: a celebration of women, their individuality, their confidence and their freedom to express themselves,” Ambrosio said. “Looking back at these 10 years reminds us of how much we’ve grown, but also of how much we still want to explore.”

The line is designed to mirror the evolution of the brand, which launched with eveningwear and carved out a niche with its early boudoir-meets-glitzy-partywear collections, before expanding to a full-fledged offering catering to different occasions via workwear-inflected looks, denimwear, sartorial elements, beachwear and accessories.

In sync with their own yin-and-yang dynamic — Ambrosio’s ebullience grounded by Tordini’s elegant poise — the founders over the years have blended high and low; day and night attire; oversize and body-con creations, and the tomboyish-meets-feminine look with insouciance.
