Elle Fanning Brings Effie Trinket’s Panem Style to London for ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ Screening

Elle Fanning brought Panem to the red carpet in a design by Robert Wun for Wednesday’s screening of “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” at Westfield London.

The Oscar-nominated actress turned to the designer’s fall 2026 couture collection for her look — a sculptural dress with an illusion double bodice and ornately designed, pillbox-style fascinator with a posed ballerina, complete with tutu and a mirror.

The ensemble was wholly evocative of the type of wardrobe curated for Effie Trinket, played by Elizabeth Banks in the original adaptation of the popular young adult book series. The dress itself was even quite ballerina-like with a soft pink ballerina slipper monochrome shade and tutu midi skirt, though with extra volume in this iteration.

The bodice itself had its own sculptural moment, with one fabric-to-skin layer and an extra, gravity-defying layer over it.

Fanning accessorized her look with a diamond necklace, bracelet and rings and completed the look with pointed-toe ballerina pink pumps. Stylist Samantha McMillen, who also collaborates with Elle’s sister Dakota Fanning, curated the actress’ premiere look.

Robert Wun’s fall 2026 couture collection “looked to archetypes of childhood and reinterpreted them with an adult vision,” Alex Wynne wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“Childhood ambitions unrealized — Wun described a space program he was enrolled in by his parents as a reference for his transparent helmets — were another theme.
