DNM Denim is producing authentic denim while advancing more sustainable manufacturing practices.
For its Spring/Summer 2028 collection, the Istanbul-based mill, which operates factories in Egypt, is incorporating advanced zero-water finishing applications to create authentic marble-like denim effects without the water waste associated with traditional processes. DNM is also introducing new specialized Giza Linen and Giza Hemp blends designed to deliver an authentic vintage look and a soft hand feel.
Sedart Sualp, DNM Denim deputy general manager, said DNM Denim’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact are evident in the new collection.
“Our most important sustainability message for [the season] is, as always, our deep, enduring commitment to water and energy reduction across our overall production processes and core collections,” he said. “Water recycling, wastewater recovery, and the integration of solar panels and natural gas for energy are not new trends for us—this mindset and our ongoing investments have been foundational since our inception.”
This sustainable framework is embedded in the company’s DNA and proudly reflected in every collection DNM produces, he added.
Another innovation highlight in the collection is a fabric range made with Tencel Lyocell – HV100 , which is developed with controlled fiber variations that mimic natural staple irregularities. “Beyond delivering an exceptional, cloud-like softness against the skin, these high-performance qualities project a significantly more elevated, premium visual aesthetic compared to standard Tencel grades—bridging the gap between luxury drape and heritage character,” Sualp said about the new fiber.
