Sigenergy launches the SigenCube C&I BESS

Sigenergy has unveiled its new SigenCube Commercial & Industrial Battery Energy Storage System (C&I BESS), which is designed to address the core challenges of commercial storage deployments. The SigenCube boasts an energy density over 220 kWh/m², dramatically shrinking spatial requirements. In a 4 MWh project, traditional solutions typically require over 80 m² of land, whereas the SigenCube requires only 54.5 m², saving over 30% in overall footprint.

The system’s highly integrated architecture combines the Power Conversion System (PCS), high-voltage components, and distribution units into a single cabinet. To scale up multi-megawatt projects easily, the SigenCube incorporates an Energy Management System (EMS) into each cabinet, supporting up to 100 units in parallel without the need for external data loggers, complete with automated failover to prevent single points of failure. Thanks to factory pre-commissioning and quick app-based setup, technicians can complete basic configurations and diagnostics in just 3 to 5 minutes.

On the performance side, the system delivers a robust 150% peak power overload for 10 seconds, providing the critical surge support needed for heavy industrial machinery. Whether handling the sudden inrush currents of industrial air compressors, conveyor drive systems, or motor-driven centrifugal pumps, the system prevents tripping and handles load spikes effortlessly.

The SigenCube features predictive smart thermal management that continuously monitors real-time cell conditions and day-ahead load forecasts to optimize cooling. By dynamically adjusting coolant temperatures before load changes occur, it cuts auxiliary power consumption by up to 20% while actively mitigating calendar aging to help extend battery life.

When it comes to acoustics, the SigenCube maintains noise levels below 60 dB at one meter, which is comparable to the ambient noise of a normal conversation, allowing businesses to install the system near office buildings, commercial centers, and residential-adjacent areas.
