Nasdaq, in collaboration with Relae, has released the Nasdaq Carbon Issuance Calendar, providing buyers with a one-stop platform with data on future offtake availability.
The calendar combines structured, developer-provided carbon removal project data with project maturity assessment informed by Relae’s assessment framework and technical diligence.
Specifically, the platform provides users with information on future credit availability, indicative pricing, and project delivery status.
The calendar brings together project information typically scattered across developer websites, offering a user-friendly tool with structured data displays.
This enables project comparison, easing both interested buyers and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) suppliers in accessing what is currently available and projected to be released on the voluntary carbon market.
The platform creators point out that buyers currently interested in procuring durable carbon removal credits are likely to notice a lack of a clear starting point. The procurement process conventionally involves visiting individual developer sites, requesting information via scattered channels, and comparing projects with data presented in different formats.
To address this issue, the Carbon Issuance Calendar provides a central starting point that displays data with a delivery-oriented lens developed by Relae.
Its team draws from the experience of screening 900+ CO2 removal projects, applying the same rigor as the one used in the creation of Relae’s Criteria for High-Quality Carbon Dioxide Removal, released annually in partnership with Microsoft.
“Our experts apply rigorous pathway-specific criteria to live projects, evaluating delivery risk and status, and identifying where questions remain is the core of what we bring to the carbon removal market,” Relae said.
