Enerparc attracts non-binding offers in insolvency sale

Enerparc AG has been in provisional insolvency proceedings since early September, following a failed financing process. The proceedings also affect sister companies Pvwerk and Sonnen Tiefbau, which handle project implementation, but not marketing subsidiary Sunnic Lighthouse or Enerparc Service.

The company and provisional insolvency administrator Stefan Denkhaus, a partner at law firm BRL, said more than 10 non-binding offers had been submitted. A small number of bidders are being selected for the second phase of the investor process, taking into account Enerparc’s limited staffing and organizational capacity to conduct due diligence. Bidders will assess the company and its assets before submitting binding offers.

Denkhaus said the sale of Enerparc’s solar park portfolios, project pipeline and stakes in non-insolvent subsidiaries, including Sunnic Lighthouse and Enerparc Service, is still expected to be notarized in December 2026. The transaction is also intended to include the workforce.

In early October, Denkhaus told pv magazine that the process would prioritize interested parties seeking to acquire the company as a whole. Enerparc is one of Germany’s largest independent power producers (IPPs) in solar energy. Its vertically integrated business spans photovoltaic project development and construction through to electricity marketing.

Enerparc and Denkhaus also reported progress in parallel negotiations with suppliers and lenders aimed at resuming work on solar parks under construction. Work had been interrupted following the insolvency filing.

On Oct. 26, 2026, Hamburg District Court ordered a so-called “strong” provisional insolvency administration at the provisional administrator’s request, with the support of Enerparc’s management board. The measure is intended to provide greater legal certainty for all parties, particularly when construction work resumes.
