China’s tote-moving wheeled humanoid, 110-pound robot arm target factory automation

Chinese robotics firm JAKA has unveiled two new industrial robots at the 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF 2026) in Shanghai.

The launches include the Kargo50, a heavy-duty wheeled humanoid designed for material handling, and the Zu50, a collaborative robot arm with a 110-pound (50-kilogram) payload capacity.

The new models expand JAKA’s industrial robotics portfolio, targeting applications in factory automation, material movement, and manufacturing operations.

In June, JAKA unveiled Pi, a compact humanoid robot that stands 1.22 meters tall and weighs 92 pounds (42 kilograms).

JAKA has expanded its portfolio with a heavy-duty wheeled humanoid and a high-payload collaborative robot arm. The Kargo50 is designed to move totes and materials between workstations, while the Zu50 extends the company’s collaborative robot range.

The Kargo50 extends JAKA’s existing Kargo line of wheeled humanoids into heavier industrial applications. The company has not yet released detailed payload figures or other technical specifications for the new model. Its primary intended tasks include transporting totes and materials across factory floors, where mobile robots can support production workflows by moving components between different workstations.

JAKA is building on the deployment experience of its smaller Kargo10 wheeled humanoid . According to the company, the robot is already in large-scale commercial use at automotive parts and high-end electronics factories. On-site engineering support helped reduce its cycle time for handling a tote from 105 seconds to 28 seconds. The company also reports that deployment in a new operating scenario now takes 57 days, reflecting efforts to streamline integration into factory environments.
