Google outlined safety and security measures for Gemini 4 Argon as it broadened access and cited improved cyber and prompt-injection defenses.
Google said Gemini 4 Argon is being rolled out more broadly while the company expands its Fairwind Program to additional trusted cyber defenders, framing the launch around safety controls for cyber, biological and agentic misuse. In a blog post published Oct. 13, 2026, Google said the model had already been used in limited access to help defenders find vulnerabilities and to support internal security testing.
According to Google, Wiz used Gemini 4 Argon to uncover a critical bug in hospital software that previous models had missed, which the company said helped protect hundreds of thousands of patient records. Google also said its own security teams used the model to find and patch bugs across internal software and open-source software, including foundational vulnerabilities affecting systems globally that are now moving through responsible disclosure. Those claims were attributed by Google to its own testing and limited-access program, and were not independently verified in the material provided.
Google said Gemini 4 Argon solved all 12 end-to-end simulated cyberattack scenarios in its cybersecurity tests, up from five in the previous generation. The company also said violations on an adversarial set designed to stress-test harmful-request handling were reduced nearly twofold, and that an external bio jailbreak red-teaming effort unlocked less than 1% of the bio sub-tasks it tested. 7%.
