These Retailers Are Your Best Bet for Preorders on the Zelda 40th-Anniversary Switch 2 Pro Controller

It's pretty tough to find in stock right now, but CNET's shopping experts are here to help you get your hands on this must-have collectible.

Preorder today: Nintendo is going all-out to celebrate The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary. In addition to a highly anticipated Ocarina of Time remake, it’s also releasing a special-edition Switch 2 console along with a stunning Pro Controller inspired by the iconic series.

It comes with a $100 price tag and is available for preorder now, but you’ll find it sold out pretty much everywhere at the moment. Don’t panic if you didn’t secure yours yet, though. Availability has been coming and going since preorders went live earlier this month, so you may still have a chance to grab one if you’re quick. And to help you out, we’ll be tracking the stock at most major retailers below. The controller goes on sale on Oct. 29, so you’ll have to wait a little while to get your hands on one, regardless.

Preorders may be sold out at Nintendo for the moment, but the site does suggest you “check back soon,” which means we could see it back in stock at some point. 

According to Best Buy’s preorder page, availability will be “coming soon,” which means this could be your best bet to snag a preorder. Plus, you can actually score some savings if you’ve got an old controller to trade in.

Preorders are currently listed as “not available” at GameStop, but that doesn’t mean it’s actually sold out.
