The iPhone Duo goes on sale today. Here’s how you could still get one in a store, despite ‘extraordinary’ demand

Today is arguably one of the most important days for Apple in decades. It’s when the company’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, goes on sale.

But so far Apple’s biggest problem with the device doesn’t seem to be convincing people to buy it. Rather, the company doesn’t have the supply to meet all the demand.

That means Apple fans who want an iPhone Duo on Day 1 may struggle to obtain one. But if you live in certain markets, all is not lost. There’s still a chance you can get your hands on an iPhone Duo today. Here’s what you need to know.

When pre-orders of the iPhone Duo began on October 16, shipping time quickly slipped from days to weeks to months. The same day, Apple confirmed to the Financial Times that demand for the new device was “extraordinary.”

“The pre-order demand for iPhone Duo, our first foldable iPhone, has been nothing short of extraordinary,” an Apple spokesperson said, adding that the company was “working hard to get this revolutionary new product into customers’ hands as quickly as possible.”

As of this writing, if you try to order an iPhone Duo from Apple’s website, the earliest ship date for all models is January 22. Yes, next year.

The good news is, you may not have to wait until 2027 to get an iPhone Duo—and you may even be able to pick one up today, if you live in certain markets around the world.

As noted by 9to5Mac, Apple has confirmed that Apple Stores in select countries “will have limited iPhone Duo available for walk-in customers” today.
