The Android 17 ColorOS 17 update is coming to 6 more OnePlus devices this month

All of OnePlus’s latest devices are getting ColorOS 17, including the much-beloved OnePlus Open foldable.

OnePlus’s transformation into a fully controlled arm of Oppo is nearly final now that the Android 17 ColorOS 17 update schedule has been made public. OxygenOS is officially going away as of the Android 17 update, meaning OnePlus-built devices still receiving updates will be running ColorOS moving forward. The ColorOS Global account on X posted the schedule, which includes several Oppo and Realme devices as well as the following OnePlus devices:

We’re still expecting 13 more OnePlus devices to get their ColorOS 17 updates in December and Q1 2027, including the OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, and OnePlus Pad 2, to name just a few. If you have one of the above OnePlus devices, be sure to tap that system update button a few times throughout the specified date if you’re feeling antsy. These typically roll out in waves, so some people will get it earlier than others.

The move from naming the OS ColorOS instead of OxygenOS is largely symbolic at this point. Oppo and OnePlus merged software teams a few years back, and both OxygenOS and ColorOS have been virtually indistinguishable since then. OnePlus and Oppo are rolling out their Android 17 updates at the same time as Xiaomi, showing a general improvement across the board in major OS updates. OnePlus officially describes ColorOS 17 like this:

ColorOS 17 is here, bringing a new wave of smarter experiences, smoother interactions, and more ways to make your phone work around you… At the heart of ColorOS 17 is an idea we believe in: Flow with AI, Flow Everywhere.
