Samsung has confirmed a list of Galaxy devices that are set to get its Android 17-based One UI 9 update in at least one region, which tells us what to expect globally in the coming months.
One UI 9 started rolling out with the Galaxy S26 series in September and, in the time since, has expanded to a bunch of last-gen Galaxy smartphones. What’s next? Samsung has confirmed an official list of Galaxy smartphones and tablets that will be getting Android 17-based One UI 9 updates.
The list was posted by Samsung Japan, so the dates provided are technically only for that region. That said, the list of devices getting the update should apply globally, and it’s not a short list by any means.
Here’s the list Samsung has provided, but do note that this is not a conclusive list. There are some obvious omissions, such as “Plus” models of recent Galaxy S flagships, with many Galaxy A devices and devices from other regions that are also not included.
Samsung says all of these updates will be available, at least in Japan, over the course of October and November 2026. Of course, Samsung will continue its global rollout for a while after that, with many entry-level devices likely being updated through December and January.
We’ll continue to monitor the global rollout, so check out our regularly updated list for more information on updates that are now available!
