Travel-focused SaaS company RateGain reported a 46.5% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹74.7 Cr in the September quarter (Q2 FY27) from ₹51 Cr a year ago.
Operating revenue jumped 152.6% YoY to ₹745.4 Cr, reflecting the consolidation of travel marketing platform Sojern, which RateGain acquired for $250 Mn in November last year.
Sequentially, net profit declined 21.3% from ₹94.9 Cr, while operating revenue fell 5% from ₹785 Cr.
RateGain reported negative other income of ₹26.2 Lakh, taking its total income to ₹745.1 Cr. Total expenses rose about 158% YoY to ₹647.7 Cr.
Adjusted for deferred deal consideration related to the Sojern acquisition, RateGain said its net profit rose 78% YoY to ₹90.8 Cr, while adjusted EBITDA more than tripled to ₹169.1 Cr.
For H1 FY27, operating revenue increased 169.5% YoY to ₹1,530.4 Cr from ₹568 Cr. Reported EBITDA rose 214.2% to ₹324.5 Cr, while adjusted EBITDA increased 250.9% to ₹362.5 Cr.
The company said its reported H1 EBITDA had already exceeded its full-year FY26 EBITDA.
The Sojern acquisition expanded RateGain’s travel marketing business, particularly its presence among destination marketing organisations (DMOs), hotels, and other travel businesses.
To finance the acquisition, RateGain’s UK subsidiary secured a $125 Mn debt facility from HSBC and Citibank, backed by a corporate guarantee from the Indian parent.
Including a repayment of $46.3 Mn today, the subsidiary has repaid $93.8 Mn, or 75%, of the original facility. Its outstanding debt now stands at $31.3 Mn.
Alongside the expansion in revenue, RateGain said the Sojern integration helped broaden its customer base.
