Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is preparing to launch the K100 smartphone in the Chinese market. This will be the third model in the Redmi K100 lineup, joining the recently launched Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max.

Xiaomi has recently confirmed the launch date, while also revealing the design and key features of the upcoming handset. Alongside the Redmi K100, Xiaomi will also introduce a new audio wearable, the Redmi Clip Neo.

The smartphone is expected to focus on gaming performance, featuring a high-refresh-rate display and a dedicated gaming graphics chip.

Xiaomi announced on Weibo on Monday that the Redmi K100 will launch in China on October 27 at 7 pm local time, which is 4:30 pm IST.

The official images show the Redmi K100 with a flat rear panel and a horizontal camera module housing two rear cameras and an LED flash. The phone will feature a flat metal mid-frame, while the power button will be positioned on the right side. The bottom edge is expected to house a USB Type-C port and the SIM tray.

The Redmi K100 has also been revealed in a Fluorescent Green colour option, with a light and translucent finish. The rear panel carries Redmi branding near the bottom and a ‘Sound by Bose’ label beside the camera module, indicating a Bose-tuned audio setup.

Pre-orders for the smartphone have already started in China through the company's sales channels.

83-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It will have a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front-facing camera.
