Nothing’s Next Headphones Could Look a Little Different

Nothing’s next pair of headphones appears to be coming soon, and we may have just gotten an early preview. A new leak from German tech blog WinFuture (machine translated) shows a slight redesign over the first-gen Headphone 1. Probably the biggest difference looks-wise is the outside of the earcups.

Instead of the grey cassette-like motif on the outside, leaked pictures show a black circle that reminds me of some of the design elements in Nothing’s phones. From initial looks, I like it, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t more partial to the look of the first generation’s aesthetic, if this is indeed the look of the rumored Headphone 1 Pro.

Outside of the new look, leaks have given us a pretty decent rundown of what to expect feature-wise. Previously, a leak from Dealabs suggested the Headphone 1 Pro will have a few upgrades over its predecessor, including a new driver array (three drivers as opposed to one), for better bass precision and treble.

Leaks also suggest a major upgrade in the microphone department. This time around, there appear to be 10 mics instead of six, which should equate to better call quality. More mics could also mean better adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), since microphones are also used for assessing the sound in your environment, though that part is TBD. Not every mic is used for ANC, so Nothing would have to specifically design its wireless headphones that way.
