Nothing OS 5.0 (Android 17) is now rolling out to Nothing 4a and 3a series phones

Nothing Phone 3a, 3a Pro, 4a, and 4a Pro owners are in for a treat with the Nothing OS 5.0 update, now rolling out to all four phone models globally.

The Nothing OS 5.0 update began rolling out to Nothing Phone (3) owners just a few weeks ago, and now the stable build is ready for Nothing’s more budget-minded phones. The Nothing Phone (3a), Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Nothing Phone (4a), and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro are now in line to get the big update, which includes a slew of new features alongside all the goodies that come with Android 17.

As is the case with all firmware updates, the Nothing OS 5.0 update is rolling out in batches to owners of the aforementioned four Nothing Phone models, so if you don’t see the update right away, just keep an eye out for the notification over the next few days.

Alternatively, you can navigate to system settings, scroll down to system, tap system updates, and then hit the check for updates button. My Nothing Phone (4a) Pro doesn’t have the Nothing OS 5.0 update yet, so be aware that yours might not either.

0 update includes a new Glyph app, which offloads the Glyph Interface features to a dedicated app with a tweaked UI. Quick Settings now supports split mode, so if you like the iOS-style split notification and Quick Settings concept, you can use that here. The home screen is now easier to arrange and organize with bulk icon management, and three new widgets (Collector, Away Time, and Glyph Timer) can now be used.
