Infosys on Monday (October 19) announced an expanded collaboration with United States-based financial services company Truist to build out its Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, with more than 1,000 colleagues set to be onboarded later this month.
The partnership will support Truist’s efforts to consolidate capabilities currently delivered through multiple suppliers in India into a single operating model, integrating technology, data, artificial intelligence (AI) and operations.
The companies said the centre would help Truist develop its operations in India, reduce dependence on third-party suppliers and build capabilities across engineering, data and operations.
The Hyderabad centre forms part of Truist’s plans to expand its operations in India and integrate functions into a unified delivery framework. Infosys will support the bank in building and scaling the centre, with the aim of establishing a self-sustaining operation.
Speaking on the collaboration, Steve Hagerman, chief information officer at Truist, said, “Our Global Capability Center in India is a strategic investment in Truist’s future. As we accelerate our transformation into a more agile, AI-enabled enterprise, we are intentionally building global capabilities that allow us to move faster, innovate at scale, and better serve our clients.”
He added, “Through this collaboration with Infosys, we are building not just capacity, but enduring expertise that strengthens how we operate as a global organization.”
Truist said the centre would help it develop capabilities through an integrated operating model, improve client experience and support its employees.
Infosys will use its financial services expertise and AI capabilities to support the expansion.
