Google has launched Dreambeans, an experimental AI-powered app that creates personalised daily story collections, in India. Starting today, the app will be available in the country for users above 18 years.
Developed by Google Labs, Dreambeans turns users' digital activity into personalised and illustrated stories about their interests and life. The app was first rolled out in the United States in September.
“This could be everything from places to explore, new arts & crafts, or a reminder of upcoming local events. You can dive deeper into any story to learn more, bookmark for later, or easily share with others to spark inspiration," said Google in an official blogpost, adding that the app is designed to connect users with what matters without endless scrolling.
The app is available on both android and iOS, and can be accessed across 14 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Punjabi, Assamese, and Nepali.
Dreambeans creates curated stories using information from selected Google apps including Calendar, Gemini, Gmail, Photos, Search, and YouTube. "Share your feedback to make your stories even better over time," said Google.
The app has a 'thumbs down' button to indicate that something is wrong with the content or is not relevant for the user. Users can also delete data anytime from the app via its settings. This deletes the data from the system as well.
