LO:TECH’s $12m raise targets always-on onchain trading

LO:TECH, a London capital markets business designed for continuous and onchain trading, has secured $12m in Series A funding as it prepares to take its round-the-clock infrastructure to New York and Singapore.

MMC led the investment. Faction and 13 Books Capital, both already backers, returned for the round, and Atka joined them.

The funding will pay for LO:TECH’s move into the US and Asia-Pacific, with New York and Singapore among its target locations. It will also be used to scale the company’s execution offering for institutional customers. LO:TECH intends to obtain regulatory authorisation in each new market and is looking into licensing options in the US.

The deal follows a period in which capital has drifted away from speculative digital asset trading and towards tokenised versions of traditional instruments. In the 12 months to June 2026, Bitcoin dropped roughly $62,000 between its high and low points, and the overall crypto market roughly halved in value.

Over a comparable window, data from RWA.xyz shows that real-world assets tokenised on public blockchains almost doubled in value, rising from about $20.6bn to $38bn. Tokenised equities climbed from roughly $960m in March to $3.2bn by late September. In June, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which owns the NYSE, and crypto exchange OKX revealed a joint venture that would let OKX users access tokenised NYSE equities, pending regulatory sign-off.

LO:TECH designed its trading systems to work across any venue and asset class without time restrictions. Its newly launched execution services use this multi-venue reach so clients can deal more efficiently in traditional, digital and prediction markets.
