CISF personnel can soon track leave, grievances and duty requests online

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel may soon be able to manage several routine administrative tasks through a single digital platform, reducing the need for paperwork and repeated visits to offices. The proposed system will bring together existing online services for leave applications, grievances, duty changes and other personnel-related requirements.

The initiative is part of a two-year modernisation programme being undertaken by CISF in partnership with Digital India Corporation (DIC). DIC functions under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

The upgrade aims to integrate more than 40 existing digital modules into a unified, secure and cloud-ready system for the force's around 2.2 lakh personnel.

The integrated platform is expected to make it easier for personnel to submit requests and follow their progress without having to access multiple portals. It will also provide a common interface, automated alerts and real-time tracking of applications.

Personnel will be able to access services related to leave, weekly offs and duty changes through mobile phones. The system is also expected to reduce the need to enter the same information repeatedly across different platforms. Senior officers will have access to dashboards showing updated information about manpower, training and resources.

CISF has already developed over 40 in-house digital modules covering areas such as personnel management, salary, training, inventory and operations.

The force's e-Grievance portal has received 55,046 complaints so far, of which 53,043 have been resolved. Its leave management system has also processed more than 95 lakh transactions.

Other existing services include the e-service book portal, which allows personnel to access and verify their service records online and the e-Anurodh platform, through which they can submit requests related to leave, weekly offs and duty changes across 40 to 50 categories.
