Apple iPhone Duo screen crack: See the phone fail JerryRigEverything’s bend test

JerryRigEverything, the YouTube channel that made a name for itself by putting phones through a series of very tough stress tests, has now done the same to the iPhone Duo.

The tests included scratching the phone's surface with a scalpel, burning it with a lighter, covering it with dirt, and bending it the wrong way to see how much force its hinge mechanism can absorb.

The iPhone Duo passed some of the tests fairly well; for example, the minor scratches on its display appeared to magically heal. However, when Jerry covered it with sand and dirt, some of it appeared to enter the Duo's hinge mechanism, which is concerning. Also, the phone failed the most brutal test: it was bent until its screen broke, rendering the Duo nearly useless.

To be fair, most of these tests go way harder than normal use, and most phones ultimately fail several of them. However, compared to some other foldable phones, the iPhone Duo seemed a tad more fragile. The message is clear: Don't bend, scratch, or burn this one, folks.
