Creators will be able to tag the company’s products in their videos and earn commissions for any resulting sales.
YouTube has added another major partner to its shopping affiliate program, with China-based AliExpress now offering affiliate links for participating creators.
Launched in 2022, YouTube’s shopping affiliate program lets creators tag eligible products in their video clips and earn commissions from any resulting sales.
YouTube expanded the program to U.K.-based creators in August. The company then announced a broader expansion at its Made On event last month, where it outlined plans to make affiliate listings available to creators in 35 markets by the end of 2026.
But in order to maximize the appeal, the platform needs local suppliers and retailers, which is why adding AliExpress could provide a big boost.
As per the AliExpress news release: “Following the launch of the collaboration in South Korea in March 2026, the partnership will expand to four markets: the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Germany. Further expansion will take place in phases, in line with the rollout of YouTube's affiliate program in new markets.”
AliExpress said creators will be able to tag products across a range of categories in their videos.
“Using data on bestselling and trending products, [creators] can handpick items that resonate with their audiences,” AliExpress said. “Viewers can link directly from YouTube to AliExpress to complete their purchases, bridging content and commerce seamlessly.”
AliExpress is one of the biggest retailers in the world, with over 100 million products listed in its app, according to WorldFirst .
