The expansion marks the next step in Meta’s plan to get billions of people using its AI agents.
Meta announced that its Muse agents are now available to users in Singapore, as the company works toward integrating its artificial intelligence tools into more people’s daily lives.
This is the first step into Southeast Asia for Meta’s AI agent. The region is now a key growth area for Meta, and one that's also been increasingly receptive to in-stream shopping, which could present significant opportunities for Muse.
Muse launched in the U.S. and Canada last month, and it's been keen to showcase its potential wherever it can, demonstrating to regular users how the company’s evolving AI offerings can optimize their lives.
The app raced to 10 million downloads in its first month, showing strong consumer interest in the project. Meanwhile, in its third quarter earnings call last week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the most common use case for Muse was shopping, with more than 25% of Muse users asking for help finding better deals and making purchases. Zuckerberg added that the average purchase through Muse amounted to more than $200.
Which could be an even greater point of interest in Singapore, and may be why Meta has chosen this region as its latest launch spot.
As per Meta: “ People in Singapore can connect their Muse to apps they already use, including Gmail, Google Calendar and Instagram, so it can help them manage email, coordinate schedules and draw on saved content to get everyday tasks done.”
