🎙️Watch today at 10:30 am ET 🦾 After Endpoints News’ AI event in New York this month, I had dinner with some of our guests. Over a few glasses of wine, we started talking about some of the out-there ideas they were working on. The one thing I kept thinking about was a zero-employee biotech, run entirely on AI and contract services. This week, Anthropic announced it had bought one of those companies, the one-employee (and lots of AI and contractors) Mithril Medicine, which was run by an entrepreneur-in-residence at Atlas Venture, Cody Tranbarger, who lives a double life on X as Professor Oak. So yesterday I asked our lead AI reporter Andrew Dunn if we were really about to enter the era of one- or no-employee biotechs, and what that would mean for, well, everything. And today on Post-Hoc Live we’re going to talk about the idea with Andy and with Simon Barnett, partner and head of research at Dimension. You can watch the show on YouTube here at 10:30 am ET. (Set a Google or Outlook calendar reminder to get an alert when we go live.) From techbio to tradbio, the AI-plus-nobody concept has generated plenty of reactions, so it should be a fun show. See you in a bit! —Drew Armstrong, Executive Editor
