Dr. Newman joins Navina during a period of sustained enterprise scale. The platform has expanded its clinical footprint across more than 20,000 clinicians and care team members at over 1,300 outpatient clinics nationwide, supporting the clinical management of approximately 3.5 million patient lives across prominent risk-bearing organizations, including Privia Health, agilon health, and Summit Health.
Dr. Newman spent nearly 14 years at Salesforce as Senior Vice President & Chief Medical Officer, as well as SVP and Global General Manager of Healthcare and Life Sciences. During his tenure, he conceived, architected, and launched Salesforce Health Cloud, scaling it into an industry-standard customer relationship management (CRM) and patient engagement framework across leading hospital systems, academic medical centers, and national commercial health plans.
Prior to enterprise tech, Dr. Newman completed his fellowship and served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at Alleviate.care, a physician-led palliative and hospice care provider, gaining operational insight into Medicare hospice benefit structures, complex geriatric multi-morbidities, and end-of-life care coordination.
Dr. Newman will direct Navina’s clinical vision, lead physician workflow adoption, translate real-world care team feedback into the core AI product roadmap, and partner with commercial go-to-market teams to drive enterprise health system and payer executive relationships.
Ronen Lavi, Co-founder and CEO of Navina, framed the strategic alignment: “Dr. Newman’s deep expertise and commitment to advancing technology in the healthcare industry is a perfect fit for the next phase of Navina’s growth and development.
