FinThrive Appoints Ex-Optum Executive Sam Meckey as CEO to Accelerate End-to-End RCM AI Orchestration

Sam Meckey brings more than 25 years of executive leadership spanning enterprise healthcare software, global operational services, and customer engagement platforms. His operational background aligns closely with FinThrive’s mission to unify fragmented healthcare workflows through intelligent automation:

Most recently, Meckey served as President of WestCX, an operating division of West Technology Group that delivers AI-native communication architectures for regulated industries. During his tenure at WestCX, he directed the operational integration of TeleVox and Mosaicx, brought the AI-native customer engagement suite WestCX Orchestrate to market, and led the business through its acquisition by Harris Healthcare. Prior to WestCX, Meckey served as Chief Executive Officer of digital health company UpHealth and Executive Vice President and Head of Healthcare at EXLService Holdings, where he led EXL’s transition into a technology-enabled services enterprise.

Crucially for FinThrive’s enterprise provider footprint, Meckey spent 14 years at Optum, ultimately serving as President of Optum Global Solutions. In that capacity, he directed a global healthcare operations and IT delivery organization exceeding 35,000 personnel across the United States, India, the Philippines, and Brazil. Earlier in his career, he served as a pilot and commissioned officer in the United States Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
