The Endpoints 11 awards are our chance to tell a story about where biotech is going. In some ways, biotech feels like it has finally emerged from years of uncertainty. The money that fuels the industry has returned to public and private markets. And it's driven by fundamentals, rather than pandemic-era narrative. But in other ways, the industry's future is more uncertain than ever. There's been a shift in biopharma's traditional power structures, with rising influence from AI, China and a new class of companies that might just become the next big players. This year's list of 11 startups helps tell that story. We received more than 150 nominations — from industry leaders, marquee investors and at least one Nobel Prize winner — and sourced many more companies on our own. Since late spring, Endpoints News journalists have have spent dozens of hours researching candidates and debating who deserved to make the cut. The 11 companies on our list include startups pursuing new approaches in gene therapy, CAR-T, oncology and cardiology, as well as companies working in longevity, AI and robotics, and novel ideas for drug development.
