One of the most useful collectibles you can find across the world of Valor Mortis is easily the gameplay-changing effects offered by Ambers, which provide passive or even active abilities at times.
With a total of 56 Ambers to collect, 29 of which are unique, numerous combinations and effects will drastically alter your gameplay. On top of the 29 unique Ambers, several of them can be upgraded to level 3 by finding duplicates of the same name in order to drastically boost their effectiveness.
Once you've actually collected some Ambers, you'll be able to equip them from the same place where you level up at any of the Lanterns scattered across Valor Mortis, below your actual skills.
After unlocking the first at level 5, you'll gain a new Amber slot every 10 levels to add to your arsenal, which translates into the following milestones to look forward to:
It's also important to note that no Amber in Valor Mortis is missable, meaning you don't have to worry about waiting for New Game Plus to go back and find one trapped behind a limited quest or locked area.
