Tripwire Presents expands publishing business to support smaller indie developers

Tripwire Interactive's publishing division, Tripwire Presents, is expanding to offer publishing support to smaller independent developers.

The Killing Floor and Maneater studio announced today that the new program will focus on self-published indie games at any stage, from pre-release through early access and post-launch. Tripwire will offer help with cross-promotion, platform relationships, commercial strategy, PR, content creators, and events, along with guidance on pricing, discounts, and lifecycle management.

The company said the partnerships are designed to be flexible and "dev-friendly," helping games reach more players "while making sure the developers who created them benefit the most." It did not disclose the commercial terms.

"Tripwire Presents is starting this new program to give additional visibility to great self-published indie games that we feel Tripwire fans will absolutely love," said Bryan West, publishing director at Tripwire Presents.

"These titles are from scrappy developers who have done the hard work of both creating and promoting a game themselves."

The five games leading the initiative are The Boss Gangster: Criminal Empire from BEF Games; Starforged Legacy, a roguelike bullet hell from Second Shift Games; Mars Attracts, Outlier Games' park management sim; One-Eyed Likho, a folk horror adventure from Black Book developer Morteshka; and Eslabong, a tactical strategy and mercenary club management game from shirowita.

In March, Killing Floor developer Tripwire Interactive conducted layoffs affecting 23 people.
