TiMi Studio Group's Pokémon Unite to shut down on March 23, 2027

MOBA title originally launched on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in 2021

The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Unite will be taken offline on March 23, 2027.

Developed by TiMi Studio Group, the MOBA title launched in 2021 for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

Both versions will be affected. After the servers are shut down, players will no longer be able to log in or participate in battles.

"We offer our sincerest gratitude to the many Trainers who have played since service started for the Nintendo Switch version on July 21, 2021," The Pokémon Company said. "We would like to express our thanks to everyone by holding a special event until service ends."

As of today (October 27, 2026), players can no longer purchase Aeos gems, Unite's in-game currency. Existing Aeos gems can be used until the shutdown date.

New Unite Club memberships and automatic renewals have been suspended. Current members will retain access to benefits and services until their membership period ends.

A special event will begin on November 12, 2026, featuring a 'library' where players can review "certain records and in-game content." Players can also earn special Unite coins through log-in bonuses and missions, which can be redeemed for past game items.

Pokémon Unite was discontinued in Belgium and the Netherlands in November 2025. While no official reason was provided, it likely stemmed from loot box restrictions in both regions.

The game included a Prize Machine mechanic, which required players to use in-game currency purchased with real money to obtain cosmetic items.
