The Ugly Car That Sucks Has Died

Pretty soon, the Cybertruck will be an endangered species. Elon Musk announced on X that he will soon cease production of the ugliest motor vehicle ever manufactured by man.

Tesla will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production

The Cybertruck was dead on arrival, demonstrating its worthlessness right off the production line with the infamous “armor glass” test. Musk wanted to demonstrate the strength of the Cybertruck’s windows so during a demo he had a metal ball chucked at it and it shattered immediately.

Despite that, people still wanted them, and they became a magnet for ridicule. They showed up everywhere, spawning a genre of social media post that featured pictures of Cybertrucks in the wild with captions that were variations on “look at this asshole.” They even showed up in Fortnite in which, like its real-world counterpart, the car was a buggy mess. More distressingly, the vehicle was involved in numerous fatal crashes in which victims’ families allege that the truck’s design resulted in their loved ones being locked inside as they burned alive.

S. elections with his gobs and gobs of money. So the Cybertruck’s apparent failure has got to be low on his list of concerns.
