Rebecca Yarros' Empyrean Series is getting a new addition next week. Threshing Day is set to arrive on September 29.

Yarros announced the new title earlier this year and preorders for the book have been dominating Amazon's best-seller charts since then. Unlike the first three novels in the series, Threshing Day is a collection of short stories detailing the day various characters bonded with their dragons. If you're hoping to pick up a copy as soon as possible, here's the rundown of where to buy and which formats are available.

There is only one hardcover version of the book releasing on September 29 and it's part of the Wing and Claw collection. That just means it features the stencilled edges other new releases have all gotten.

If you're hoping to pick up a hardcover copy for the lowest possible price, Amazon is the way to go. As the biggest online bookstore in the world, they almost always offer the best deal. Target had also matched that lower price, but preorders have already sold out there ahead of release. The only potential issue with preordering from Amazon is that you won't actually get the book until October. So if you want your copy before then, your best bet is to order a full-price version at Barnes & Noble for in-store pickup.

If you'd prefer a normal hardcover edition of the book, you'll have to wait a bit longer. Barnes & Noble and Target are the only stores currently offering preorders for this version and it isn't getting released until October 13.
