You don't need to pay $150, $100, or even $50 for an excellent PC gaming controller. The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless PC Gaming Controller is already attractively priced at $29.99 and is arguably the best controller at that price point. However, ahead of Prime Day, Amazon has dropped the price by another 20% to $23.99. Only lavender is discounted, but I own this exact model and color way and I have to say it looks great in person. I really like this controller and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend $80 or more on a Gamesir G7 Pro (my other favorite controller).

The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C is a wireless PC controller that has a lot of premium features you wouldn't expect in a sub-$30 controller. Running down the list, the controller itself feels solid with no rattle and a pleasant grippy matte texture. Both the joysticks and triggers use magnetic Hall Effect switches, which means no moving parts to wear out and no stick drift to contend with. Not even high end controllers like the PlayStation DualSense Edge or the Xbox Elite have Hall Effect switches. The joysticks in particular are also reinforced with metal rings for extra durability.

The Ultimate 2C has extra R4/L4 bumpers that can be custom mapped without needing to download any resource hogging softwarel. Other features include a convenient Turbo button and immersive rumble vibration. 4GHz wireless connection with 1,000Hz polling rate.
