The Best PC VR Demos Out Now Ahead Of Steam Next Fest

The third Steam Next Fest of 2026 kicks off on October 19 with multiple PC VR demos already popping up on Steam. Read on for a list of the ones that stood out to us.

We will have a full list of every PC VR demo when Next Fest starts next week, but multiple developers have opted to release their demos ahead of time, so if you are looking for something to check out on PC VR this weekend, consider these demos.

This is by no means an exhaustive list. Most of these are games we learned of in VR games showcases earlier this year.

We first revealed this Dead Space-like sci-fi first person shooter at the summer edition of our UploadVR Showcase in June. It has since racked up over 20,000 wishlists as of the end of August. Rustmourne launches in early 2027.

The Rifted Skies was born out of developer DreamVR's desire to see more physical, player-driven movement in consumer VR games similar to the location-based-entertainment (LBE) experiences the company has previously built. The action-roguelike involves outrunning a world-consuming rift with arm pumping movement and parkour. It was first announced at the VR Games Showcase earlier this summer.

D. stands for Rapid Assault & Interception Division where you serve as an intergalactic border patrol agent of sorts, inspecting ships and intercepting any that flag as suspicious. When you spot any red flags, you board the ship and engage in an action-packed shootout to defeat the criminals and seize the ship's cargo.
