Steam Officially Makes Brand-New 2026 Game 100% Free Until November 3

Steam's Free Weekend Promotion is only offering one free game this weekend, but it's unique in that this brand-new 2026 game does not officially launch until November 10. In other words, the current Steam Free Weekend Promotion is giving players complete access and essentially a preview ahead of launch (showcasing confidence, if nothing else).

For those unfamiliar, Steam's Free Weekend Promotion makes a game playable at absolutely no cost until a specific time (November 3 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET in this case). Players have unfettered access until that point, but they'll lose access at that time. The good news is this Steam game will have a launch discount after this preview, lasting through its proper release date of November 10.

An upcoming new survival horror game wears its Forest, Resident Evil, and Dead Space influences on its sleeves.

The Steam Free Weekend game, available from now until November 3 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET, is Football Manager 27. Football Manager 27 is the latest entry in the long-running soccer management simulation series from Sports Interactive and SEGA, putting players in charge of their own club as they attempt to build a championship-winning team. Football Manager 27 focuses on everything that goes into running a successful club, from signing players to developing talent and making match-changing decisions. The latest installment also introduces an improved Tactical Effectiveness system, more opportunities to adjust strategies during games, enhanced stadiums and crowds, and improved player animations.

Unlike a traditional Steam demo , Football Manager 27 's Launch Preview offers the complete experience, although some bugs and missing assets may still be present.
