Some of my favorite childhood gaming memories started with opening a browser and heading straight to GirlsGoGames. I could spend ages playing dress-up games, mixing and matching outfits just to see what worked. The games didn't need elaborate worlds or complicated mechanics to hold my attention. I don't even think I could save the games to return to. They were just there whenever I wanted to play, and back then, I never imagined I'd miss them quite so much.
For me, that's part of what makes Dressmaker appealing. And with 98% positive reviews on Steam, it seems like the public agrees. It brings back some of the creative freedom I loved about those old browser games, but gives the process of making clothes a lot more depth. Instead of simply picking an outfit, you choose fabrics, cut patterns, sew garments, and add your own finishing touches. It's not quite the same as playing dress-up on GirlsGoGames, but Dressmaker understands what made those games special in the first place. Sometimes, you just want a game that lets you have fun without turning everything into a commitment.

For me, half the fun of visiting GirlsGoGames was finding something to play. The dress-up games were a favorite because there was no pressure to get anything right. I'd try different outfits, swap things around, and start over whenever I felt like it. If I wanted something completely different, I could switch to Bloons and spend time popping balloons instead.
