Steam's ever-growing catalog has recently expanded with Deep Dish Dungeon, a distinctive genre hybrid that combines survival and metroidvania elements with a strong emphasis on cooking and optional co-op. While the game is not a PC exclusive, its Steam version stands out for launching with a generous discount that remains available through late October 2026.
Deep Dish Dungeon comes from Behold Studios, an award-winning indie developer founded in Brazil in 2009 and headquartered in Canada since 2019. The studio is best known for the 2012 retro RPG Knights of Pen and Paper and 2015 strategy RPG Chroma Squad, both of which launched to strong reviews and received industry accolades. Deep Dish Dungeon is Behold's sixth project to date and, like several of its earlier games, combines established genre conventions with a less conventional progression structure, this time built around preparing for repeated expeditions into a single large dungeon.
Chances are you've probably had at least one co-op experience that takes place within a cooking game setting.
Deep Dish Dungeon launched on October 13 with a $14.99 list price, but Steam is offering it for $12.74 through October 27. While launch discounts are common among indie releases on Valve's storefront, most are limited to 10%, whereas this one amounts to a 15% price cut. Deep Dish Dungeon also carries the Steam Deck Verified badge, a designation held by only about one in four titles available on the platform.
Cooking is directly tied to progression in Behold's latest release.
