Square Enix Officially Announces New Final Fantasy 10 25th Anniversary Release

Final Fantasy 10 is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, and Square Enix has been giving fans plenty of reasons to revisit one of the franchise's most beloved entries. Originally released for the PS2 in 2001, the RPG introduced players to Spira, the threat of Sin, and the unforgettable journey of Tidus and Yuna. Even 25 years later, Final Fantasy 10 remains a favorite among longtime fans, particularly because of its emotional storytelling, memorable characters, and iconic romance.

The anniversary has also brought renewed attention to the future of Final Fantasy 10, with fans continuing to hope that Square Enix will eventually revisit Spira with a Final Fantasy 10 remake or another new project. Nothing of the sort has been officially announced, but the company has been celebrating the game's legacy through special releases and collaborations. Tidus and Yuna have understandably remained central to those celebrations, and the latest Final Fantasy 10 announcement gives both characters something particularly special (and extremely limited).

Square Enix officialy announces the upcoming release of Final Fantasy 9: Denouement.

Square Enix and watchmaker Tendence have revealed two limited-edition Final Fantasy 10 watches inspired by Tidus and Yuna , with just 200 of each being produced worldwide. Both are part of Tendence's De'Color collection, featuring gradients that extend across the watch faces, cases, and straps. Pre-orders opened on October 20, ahead of an official November 20 release. Japanese retailer Hobby Genki has also listed both models, with the Tidus edition priced at 78,550 Yen and Yuna's at 62,550 Yen.
