Save $700 Off the HyperX OMEN Gaming Laptop With GeForce RTX 5060 (115W) Graphics

Even with the rising prices of RAM and GPUs, gaming laptops are still relatively easy to find at great discounts. Case in point, Walmart is currently offering the HP HyperX OMEN gaming laptop equipped with GeForce RTX 5060 graphics for $1,199 with free shipping after a $700 off instant discount. The RTX 5060 GPU has the maximum allowable TGP (115W), which means it will perform at the top of the pack compared to other RTX 5060 laptops.

This particular HyperX OMEN gaming laptop features a 15.3" 2K 165Hz IPS display, AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX CPU, GeForce RTX 5060 8GB mobile GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 is a Zen 4 Dragon Range 8-core, 16-thread processor with a max boost clock of 5.1GHz. Thanks to its high boost clock, this is a good gaming chip.

The RTX 5060 (mobile) offers solid gaming performance. It should run most games at 60fps on the display's 1900x1200 resolution especially if the game supports DLSS 4.5. Compared to the previous generation GPUs, it's basically a power efficient version of the RTX 4070. Unlike some other HyperX OMEN laptops, HP does not throttle the GPU on this particular model. According to HP's official spec sheet, this model (15-gb0xxx) paired with an AMD Dragon Range CPU is equipped with a GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with a TGP rating of 115W (the max allowable).

The AMD Ryzen HX CPU and GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU outclasses the $1,049 Steam Machine , which is equipped with a very low wattage CPU and a custom GPU equivalent to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060.
