Rapper Kodak Black Will Be an NPC in GTA 6, Creating Speculation Over Other Artists Appearing In-Game

Rapper Kodak Black has been confirmed to be featured as an NPC in GTA 6 via a new batch of screenshots.

Rockstar Games released a batch of 39 new screenshots from GTA 6 to celebrate the game being two weeks away from launch, and one of them reveals that Kodak Black will be in the game. Upon closer examination, we can see him holding a cup with the Jack of Hearts logo, which is a club in GTA 6. This club has appeared in various marketing beats for the game, and Travis Scott even name-dropped it in his song, RHYNO, which was made specifically for GTA 6's soundtrack.

It has been heavily speculated that this club would feature a variety of real-world artists, and the confirmation of Kodak Black seems to only add fuel to that speculation. It doesn't seem like a leap to imagine that other artists like Scott or other rappers featured on the game's soundtrack could also appear in-game. There's some precedent for this in previous GTA titles, too.

In GTA Online, Dr Dre appeared as a character that the player could do missions for. The game's nightclubs also featured real DJs such as Solomun, Tale of Us, and Dixon, so it's entirely possible Rockstar managed to get these artists to do real performances at clubs in the game. We'll ultimately have to wait and see, but it's clear that Rockstar has spared no expense with the talent for this game. While there will be some fresh faces in the cast, actor Stephen Root confirmed earlier this year that he will play Brian Heder in GTA 6.
