Pokemon breaks a massive world record in the year of the franchise's 30th anniversary, and it's thanks to an Eeveelution. 2026 marks 30 years since the release of the first-ever games in the series, Pokemon Red and Green, which came out exclusively in Japan. Later on, they became a worldwide success as Pokemon Red and Blue, soon followed by the Pikachu-led Pokemon Yellow.
