Fans may love the action sequences, the villains, and the Zords, but it's fair to say the biggest draw of any Power Rangers series is the Power Rangers themselves. The bold, color-coded aesthetic of those teenagers with attitude is what made the show such an instant hit with kids — and such a successful engine for toys — in the early 1990s. That same appeal has lasted throughout the decades, too, thanks to the excellent and ever-evolving suits worn by each new generation of Rangers.
Not every season's suits have been a slam-dunk — few fans favor the cheap-looking costumes from Jungle Fury — while others split the audience down the middle — some love the car aesthetic of Turbo, some can't stand it. Yet, on the whole, Power Rangers can usually be relied upon to outfit its heroes in some epic costumes. Whether they were pretty in pink, glam in green, or resplendent in red, the following Power Rangers proved that it's possible to save the galaxy week after week and look good while doing it.
The Power Rangers' various zords are easily one of the most important fixtures in the series, but some Zords are far better than others.
Lightspeed Rescue marked Power Rangers' first season to be released in the 21st century, so it's only fitting that it saw the franchise make a major first when it came to its costumes. Famously, each Power Rangers season is adapted from Super Sentai , with the costumes being ported over from Japan to shoot new footage.
