Only one Dane remains in Astralis’ new CS2 lineup

Astralis has signed siuhy and cmtry, completing its first international Counter-Strike 2 lineup and ending the organisation’s all-Danish roster era.

The signings of Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek and Nikita “cmtry” Samolotov were reported by Dust2.us and HLTV on October 13. They follow the October 9 benching of Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, which left two places to fill in Astralis’ active five.

Siuhy joins after serving as an in-game leader at Team Liquid. Astralis’ announcement confirms his signing but does not specify whether he will take on the same leadership role in the new lineup; he became a free agent earlier in October, according to HLTV.

Cmtry, who previously AWPed for NAVI Junior and FUT, is expected to switch to a rifling role. The move restores Astralis to five active players, with Filip “NEO” Kubski continuing as coach. It follows the benching of HooXi and jabbi and siuhy’s departure from Liquid.

The lineup comprises Victor “Staehr” Staehr, Love “phzy” Smidebrant, Gytis “ryu” Glušauskas, siuhy and cmtry, with NEO as coach. Staehr is the sole Dane in the five, a major change for a club that won four Major trophies with an all-Danish lineup.

The international roster marks a new chapter in Astralis’ Counter-Strike identity, rather than a continuation of its previous national core. The club’s October roster changes set the stage for the shift, with the additions of a former Liquid leader and a young rifler restoring the squad’s numbers.

Astralis had already secured a place at the PGL Singapore Major after its previous lineup won Stake Ranked Episode 4, beating Nemiga in the final.
