Massive GTA 6 Banner In Paris Censors All Of The Guns

Grand Theft Auto 6 is just weeks away from launching on PS5 and Xbox. As we get closer to that November 19 launch date, Rockstar’s marketing is kicking into full gear, including a new trailer, multiple cover stories, and merchandise. It also means there are murals and banners popping up around the globe. Though in Paris, you might notice some guns missing from one massive GTA 6 banner.

Over the last two weeks, people online have been documenting the progress on a massive banner advertisement for Grand Theft Auto 6 being attached to one of the Les Mercuriales towers in Paris, France. And on Thursday, it was reported that work had wrapped up on the big banner, which recreates the GTA 6 cover art on the side of the building. However, as pointed out by some fans, this artwork has been tweaked slightly to remove two different guns.

As you can see in the comparison above, Lucia’s gun has been removed from the top middle image of her and Jason. Meanwhile, an assault rifle has been removed from the bottom middle image of the official cover art as well. In Lucia’s case, her hand and the gun were removed. In the other example, it seems the artwork has been tweaked to just have the character’s hand in the air with no gun in front of it.

Other banners and murals that have gone up in the United States, like this one in NYC, have artwork featuring guns.
