No Man's Sky Just Got a Brand-New Update for October 2026

No Man's Sky has just released a brand-new major update for October 2026. Titled 'Forsaken', this latest No Man's Sky update brings the game to iOS and adds a wealth of new content, much of which ties in nicely with spooky season festivities.

Forsaken is the 42nd named major update that No Man's Sky has received since its launch all the way back in August 2016. The last decade has brought countless new features to No Man's Sky, with some of the biggest being fully functional online multiplayer, base-building mechanics, land vehicles, underwater gameplay, story missions, VR support, platform crossplay, and a metric ton of new ship types. Ten years after its debut, No Man's Sky has more than made up for its lackluster launch, though developer Hello Games is showing no signs of slowing down support just yet.

No Man's Sky's recent Cosmos update brings a whole extra layer to the game's space exploration that Starfield continues to lack.

Along with iPad and iPhone support, No Man's Sky's latest update has added multiple new features to the live-service space sim. One of the biggest new features added in this update is the eponymous Forsaken Traders. A series of eerie mementos have suddenly appeared across infested outposts, deep-space hulks, derelict freighters, and at planetary digsites, and their appearance has attracted a new type of merchant that offers a range of "spooky" corvette modules, a living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, and a Larva Tank helmet cosmetic item.

On top of these brand-new Forsaken Trader fetch quests, No Man's Sky 's most recent update has added new content to the game's Holo-Arena creature battler minigame .
