New Official Mass Effect Release Confirmed

A brand-new Mass Effect launch has been confirmed, albeit without a concrete release date just yet. As fans of the franchise are still reeling from the recent closure of developer BioWare, this Mass Effect news may be a breath of fresh air.

As Mass Effect fans are still reeling from the news that its developer has been shut down, a trailer for the canceled sequel emerges.

Hot on the heels of the bad news coming from EA, three new Mass Effect figures have been teased to be arriving in the future. The new figures are a continuation of the existing Mass Effect Youtooz line, which had previously seen releases of popular characters like Garrus, Tali, Wrex, and more. Thus far, Youtooz has only teased silhouettes of the figures, but it's fairly easy to tell that they're based upon Mordin, Joker, and Liara. While not said outright, Youtooz also seemed to lament the cancelation of Mass Effect Universe and the shuttering of the studio behind the entire series with a quote from the games, saying simply, "I wish I had more time to study all of this..." with a sad face emoji. No release date for the figures has been announced yet, but it's likely that more will be revealed on N7 Day, which will land just five days after the announcement was made on social media.
